Submarine cable


CEIBA-1 is the name that receives the submarine cable infrastructure deployed between the cities of Malabo and Bata with a total length of 287 km. The system is equipped with 4 pairs of optical fiber through which a capacity of multiple circuits of 10 Gb / s up to a capacity greater than 1TB / s.


CEIBA-1 is aimed at improving the quality of communications between the two cities, and allows absorbing the demand for both current and future capacity of Telecommunications operators in Equatorial Guinea and business needs in our country. This infrastructure, fully open, allows national telecommunications operators to connect the continental zone with the insular zone quickly, easily and optimizing their connection costs between the two areas in order to improve the quality of services rendered to end users.
