Submarine cable


The Ultramar GE submarine cable system links the island of Annobón with the rest of the country. The deployment of the cable was carried out by the Ile de Sein laying ship and it has a length of 263 km, from the island of Annobón (GE) to San Tomé, in San Tomé and Príncipe.

Ultramar was built in order to end the island's dependence on satellite services, increase user connectivity and high-speed capacity for the users of Annobón.
